Geographic extent: The study area covers the Cockburn Sound, an elongate, shallow, partially enclosed coastal basin, approximately 22 km long and ranges 15 km wide in the north to 9 km wide in the south, with an area of approximately 124 km2, located immediately south of Fremantle, Western Australia.
Contents: This model comprises digitised bathymetric data sourced from the WA Department of Transport and the Fremantle Port Authority, land surface digitised from topographic contour data from the WA Department of Land Information, LANDSAT(TM) imagery from the Landsat 7 satellite, sub-bottom profiles and sample surveys including Vibracore and Grab Samples.
Data Source: This data has been acquired for the Coastal CRC Coastal Water Habitat Mapping (CWHM) Project, from a field survey in March 2004.
Size: The total size of the model and all associated files is 5.23Mb. The initial download for the base HTML documents and the Cockburn Sound surface is 88.5KB.
